Come along with the Discover Universal Podcast team on a Troll-tastic day around DreamWorks Land!
In this episode of the Discover Universal Podcast, Dylan and Cassie will take you through their day in DreamWorks Land. They’ll meet some cool characters, experience all the new attractions and even get a chance to see it from a kid’s perspective with the help of Legendary Luke, producer Michelle’s nephew. We have been looking forward to the opening of this land for so many reasons: Trolls Trollercoaster, Po Live, character meet and greets, the newest stage show and THE SNACKS!
The first thing we did in DreamWorks Land was ride Trolls Trollercoaster. If we had to describe it in three words, it would be The. Best Vibes. We couldn’t help but dance in the queue and then have our hands up through the whole ride. We rode it three times, and probably could have done it a bunch more!
After, it was time to meet all the characters that DreamWorks Land has to offer. We started off meeting Shrek, Fiona and Donkey — and what a fun time we had! Fiona showed us her awesome dance moves, and they even showed us how to slay a dragon. Shrek also burped in our face, but that’s just Shrek being Shrek. Donkey hit us with joke after joke, and it was all around a great time!
Next, we met Gabby from “Gabby’s Dollhouse,” Puss in Boots and King Julian. We of course had to greet them with a hug, then immediately started showing them our awesome dance moves. A sweet moment from this meet and greet was when King Julian stole our hearts by doing ASL to Legendary Luke. Then we hopped over to Poppy’s Playground and met the icon herself, Poppy! She was the sweetest, and she loved Cassie’s shirt Tune in on YouTube to see it for yourself!
Then, we skipped over to Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp to meet Po! We helped babysit his cousin Ling Ling, we learned some kung fu moves and made some stir fry. We even created our own kung fu names — watch the episode to meet Dojo Dylan and Kung Fu Cassie!
Lastly, we had to stop over at the courtyard of DreamWorks Imagination Celebration. Cassie had watched the new stage show, but Dylan had not, so they wanted all the information they could get. To help, they invited Jason Horne, assistant director of entertainment. He and his team created this new stage show that will leave guests of all ages speechless. You will be teleported to three different stories and see some familiar faces along the way. It’s something you truly cannot miss! And the only correct way to finish out our time at DreamWorks Land was trying some of the newest snacks! We went over to Swamp Snacks where we got the Shrekzel with green cheese and the Pepperoni Far-Far A Waffle with warm marinara sauce. Both were so delicious and left us wanting more! Then for a sweet treat, we went over to Trolls Treats and tried the Poppy-licious Pink ice cream, which is a pink lemonade soft serve topped with flower sprinkles, and the BroZone Berry flavor, a huckleberry soft serve!
