Halloween Horror Nights Fog

There are so many oddly satisfying experiences around Universal Orlando Resort that simply go unnoticed to the average guest. But for Passholders, it’s the oddly satisfying experiences that make their visit that much more satisfying.

Check out this incredible list of 10 of our favorite most oddly satisfying things at Universal Orlando Resort that will leave you saying, “This is so me.”

1. Watching People Get Soaked at Jurassic Park River Adventure

When you happen to pass by the splash zone next to the Jurassic Park River Adventure, you can’t help but notice the individual(s) standing curiously close to the fence and think “this is going to be good.” Then the feeling of immediate scrambling to get a better view of the tidal wave of water showering the unexpected guests gives that unique oddly satisfying sense of enjoyment.

TIP: If you’re warm, go ahead and get close to the splash zone. If you spot someone else, feel free to give them a friendly heads up of what’s to come.

2. Scoring Bonus Points on MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack

We all like to think that we are Agent K when it comes to blasting aliens on the MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack ride, but there is something more rewarding at the moment you… *looks around and whispers* hit the targets worth bonus points.

An even better feeling? Finishing the ride and looking around at your fellow galaxy defenders and seeing them in awe of your out of this world score!

3. When the Wait Time Goes Down

That moment you’re walking up to your favorite ride, glance up at the approximate wait time and actually witness the time drop. It sends you into an immediate frenzy where the choice of riding is non negotiable.

TIP: High fiving people in line is also oddly satisfying.

4. The Smell of the Halloween Horror Nights Fog

How do you spot a Passholder at Halloween Horror Nights?

Look for the people standing in the middle of the thick scare zone fog taking deep breaths while letting out a long satisfying “ahhhhhhhh.” For the average guest, it’s just fog. For Passholders, that fog unlocks memories of the incredible scares and excitement from past Halloween Horror Night experiences. How can something so terrifying smell so good?

TIP: Slowly approach a scare zone, step off to the side and get that long desirable fog whiff in, but don’t let your guard down for too long…there’s always a scareactor lurking around the corner.

5. Watching Halloween Horror Nights Scareactors Scare the Living Daylights Out of People

Do yourself a favor next Halloween Horror Nights: Find a nice location with a view of a scare zone, sit back, relax and witness some good ole Halloween Horror Nights scareactors do work on unsuspecting guests.

TIP: But don’t let your guard down too much, you could be next!

OR:

TIP: Anywhere near a Halloween Horror Nights scare zone works great, but the very best area is near Hollywood where you can see the full scare play out. It’s like watching something from a wildlife documentary as you nudge your friends: “Oh boy, they’re in for it.”

6. Standing Under the Mist Machine on a Hot Summer Day

Sometimes you just can’t care who’s watching you take that 30+ minute break standing underneath the park’s mist machines on a hot Florida day.

Go ahead, take 10 more minutes for yourself. You deserve it.

7. Hearing The Incredible Hulk Coaster RUMBLE

Make your way over to Marvel Super Hero Island in Islands Of Adventure and you will notice two things:

  1. The Incredible Hulk Coaster is so impressive that it causes people to stand still all over and look up.
  2. The rumble of riders being launched out of the gamma radiation tunnel with the force of a fighter jet is very oddly satisfying. So satisfying in fact that you’ll find yourself saying, “Just one more!” over and over again.

TIP: Scoop up a ice cream float from Chill Ice Cream, find a seat near the lagoon and enjoy the roar of The Incredible Hulk Coaster.

8. The Heat of the Dragon’s Fire in Diagon Alley

No matter if it’s your first time experiencing the fire-breathing dragon on top of Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts™, Butterbeer™ or your 100th, there is something oddly satisfying about feeling the warm heat that fills the air on your face and the impressive setting.

TIP: There are multiple angles to catch this moment in Diagon Alley. Make sure you explore the land with all the unique offerings as you wait.

Best Way to Experience:
Grab a Butterbeer™ from The Fountain of Fair Fortune, find a spot with a view that works just right for you and enjoy!

9. Lounging in the Music Plaza Grass

Sometimes, it’s oddly satisfying to just find a cozy spot on the Music Plaza lawn in Universal Studios Florida. Just lay back as you watch people take on Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit over and over again. So peaceful.

TIP: Have a picnic with your favorite Universal Orlando food and drink. It will take your experience to the next level.

10. Hearing Screams From the Parking Lot

That moment you arrive, step foot outside of your car and hear those thrillseeker screams from the rides off in the distance, you can’t help but give a smile and a nod because you know you’re in for a great time.

TIP: Take that moment when you first arrive to Universal Orlando to appreciate those distant thrillseeker screams. Hearing them when you leave will just make you say, “Can’t wait to go back!”

    – relaxing in Knockturn alley on a hot day, ordering a loaded jacket potato from the only place that offers them, using the ‘secret’ entrance at US, checking for all of the Easter eggs/homages to last rides, and (my favorite) staying at Cabana Bay, walking over to Volcano Bay and getting in an hour early, so that when the wait times are getting long, we are drinking Cocktails at one of the bars and watching the volcano..
