Friends, family, and chocolate lovers alike: Make haste! Ten years flew by like nobody’s business, and September 19 is sure to fly by just as fast if you don’t catch the 10th Anniversary Celebration at Toothsome in time.
Penelope and Jacques have loads of confectionery fun in store from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Revel in a signature steampunk-inspired chocolate display featuring Jack and Penelope, and indulge in an interactive melted chocolate dipping station with marshmallows and fresh fruit skewers.
Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, which is why Toothsome will host a family-friendly Chocolate Origins showcase. This showcase takes a deep dive into the history of chocolate and its origins and features a unique cacao pod display. You can also dive into the journey of Felchlin chocolate through pop-up banners, heat bends, and a visual video display.
The cacao bean Melanger & Chocolate Coating display station is not to be missed! When it’s all said and done, capture the moment forever with a picture in Toothsome’s themed photobooth, and take home a custom engraved chocolate coin featuring the 10-year anniversary logo.
What’s on The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium’s 10-year Anniversary Menu?
I’ve got this insatiable hunger for celebratory foods, and the only thing that can shake it is the anniversary menu at Toothsome.
Speaking of shakes, the Cheers to 10 Years! shake at Toothsome is otherworldly. It’s blended with chocolate and hazelnut spread-flavored ice cream and topped off with shiny chocolate gears and a chocolate candle while served in a signature chocolate-dipped mason jar.
Now that we’ve gotten that sweet tooth taken care of, let’s kick off with a plate of Crispy Zucchini, an appetizer crusted in Parmesan cheese and served with a side of sesame soy for dipping. I feel the crunch just writing about it!
Although Toothsome is the chocolate emporium, its chefs never shy away from good greens. The Sedona BBQ Chicken Salad features fresh romaine topped with savory chipotle grilled chicken, roasted corn, black beans, avocado, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, and sweet drop peppers with a rich chipotle lime vinaigrette and crispy tortilla strips to bring it all home.
If you’re in the mood for something more earthy, the Forest Mushroom Flatbread has you covered. This flatbread is baked with creamy goat cheese, caramelized onions, and arugula and topped with smooth truffle oil. Did anyone else’s mouth start watering out of nowhere, or just mine?
It wouldn’t be an anniversary dinner without steak, and that’s why the Grilled Steak Sandwich at Toothsome is an absolute must-try. Stuffed between a French baguette is grilled steak topped with caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, tomato jam, arugula, garlic-herbs aioli, and horseradish cream. Talk about tasty!
I’d argue I saved the best for last. I’m the No. 1 gnocchi fanatic, and the Gnocchi at Toothsome is a big reason why. This dish features chewy gnocchi cooked with grilled chicken breast, sweet peppers, rapini, and mole cream sauce. If you aren’t itching to get a bite of this dish, then what are you doing?!
