Grabbing a snack or two is essential to staying fueled up for all the excitement of a fun-filled day in the theme parks. Between escaping the curse on Revenge of the Mummy and dancing to the soulful songs at The Blues Brothers Show, you’ll work up an appetite! Some of the best places to grab a unique bite on the go or hearty treat are the snack carts located around Universal Studios Florida.
“From a culinary perspective, we are always looking to offer our guests diverse and crave-able food options,” shares Chef Jens Dahlmann, executive chef of culinary operations. “With the addition of some cooking and heating equipment, we are now able to bake items fresh to order at a handful of snack carts throughout Universal Studios.”

After walking through the turnstiles of Universal Studios Florida, you’ll find the Emerald City Eats cart which features all things pink and green. This cart offers a variety of eats inspired by “Wicked,” including the Emerald City Focaccia, All Roads Lead to Oz Flatbread, and Strawberry Cheesecake Waffle. This is a great spot to snag a sweet treat before exploring more within Wicked: The Experience.
Next, you can enter Illumination’s Minion Land for a photo opportunity with friends and family.

After visiting the Minions, you can’t miss the chance to try the Banana Popcorn and specialty drinks that might even turn you into an evil, purple Minion. The Pop-A-Nana location is hard to miss, as the cart features Bob and Stuart fighting above the marquee. The Banana Popcorn takes my taste buds on a wild ride, like Minion mayhem in my mouth.
Looking for a nice treat to enjoy during an extremely hot afternoon? Then you should drop by Freeze Ray Pops and try some of the popsicles. The Cookies and Cream option is one of my favorites, but don’t be afraid to cool down with the Gru Nutella or the Vector Orange flavors. The other options include blueberry, cheesecake, mango, and strawberry.

In the New York area of Universal Studios, there are two snack carts that serve tasty treats. 57 Fare is fashioned to fit the NYC Subway-inspired atmosphere. Fill your stomach with a New York-style pizza slice as you experience (or dance along with) ¡Vamos! – Báilalo.

Just a few feet away you’ll find Avenue Eats, which highlights more cultural cuisine like the delicious chicken empanada, Pão de Queijo, and the popular street corn. Ordering an empanada and dancing to The Blues Brothers Show with friends has always been a favorite memory of mine.

As you stroll the San Francisco area, you can’t miss the brightly colored San Fran Snacks cart, which offers boba teas that are quite refreshing on a warm day. You can try one or all of the food items, including the Asian Beef Satay.

A treat that shouldn’t be missed can be found at the London Taxi Hut, located near the Knight Bus. The variety of loaded potatoes, also known as “jacket potatoes,” is delicious and extremely filling. Why not enjoy one before continuing your adventure into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley?

With the arrival of DreamWorks Land, Shrek and the Trolls have an assortment of themed food to offer guests. Swamp Snacks has pizza waffles, a swamp dog and popsicles inspired by your favorite fairytale friends. The Shrekzel is my favorite snack — a pretzel in the shape of the ogre we’ve come to love — with a side of green cheese. And there’s no way we can forget Poppy and Branch; the “Trolls” characters each have their own ice cream flavor sold from Trolls Treats, an enormous boombox.
The snack carts at Universal Studios offer a plethora of food options, from classic snacks like foot-long hotdogs and New York-style pizza to movie-themed treats and drinks. You can do much more than experience your favorite franchises brought to life — you can become the star of your own film food festival.
