In addition to Universal Horror Unleashed’s year-round offerings, a new interactive experience terrorizes guests (in a good way, of course) through April 26.
In this experience, you’ll step onto the production set of a long-lost horror film and into the chaos of its final, unfinished scene. Here, Feaster Bunny and a cast of grisly characters invite you to join a rotten egg hunt — search carefully, because you might just win some exclusive merchandise.
Behind the scenes, there’s a darker story at play that inspired this seasonal offering. The film “Feaster Grievings” was never completed after the actor portraying Feaster Bunny reportedly went insane mid-production (I’ll try that the next time I want to get out of a deadline). Now, the missing film reels have resurfaced and Feaster Bunny is back, determined to finish what he started… with you in the scene.
Throughout the venue, you can also capture a photo with Feaster Bunny himself — if you dare — and indulge in themed food and beverage items.
The Experience and Themed Entertainment
Assistant Director of Entertainment, Del Wynegar and Producer, Kevin Katan collaborated on the Feaster Grievings experience, drawing inspiration from past projects at other Universal parks.
They also drew inspiration from classic horror imagery like 70s grindhouse horror and slasher films. For Feaster Grievings that comes to life through, as Del puts it, “this actor who’s kind of taken on this persona of this crazed, maniacal bunny. He’s gone too far, and now he’s back to complete his film. So, it all just kind of really fell into place, which was quite nice.”
The Rotten Egg Hunt and Hedge Maze Madness
When you step into Universal Horror Unleashed, you’ll receive a call sheet upon entrance so you can participate in a scavenger hunt around the grounds for 20 rotten eggs.
Near Jack’s Alley, you’ll discover the entrance to Hedge Maze Madness, which is the final scene of the unfinished Feaster Grievings and where the last five rotten eggs are located. Cameras are rolling, and this time, you might just be the star of the show.
Guests must brave the maze and its scareactors to search the hedges to complete the hunt. Upon locating your final rotten egg, you can take your map to retail for confirmation. You may claim a coveted golden egg. In it, you’ll find a prize, ranging from select free merchandise items to discounts off your entire purchase of merchandise at Universal Horror Unleashed.
Feaster Bunny Meet & Greet
Del and Kevin are particularly excited to see guest reactions to the Feaster Bunny. “It’s this new character to the space,” Kevin says. “I think that for our returning guests, it’ll be fun for them to see somebody new occupying the space. It’s so creepy and so eerie.”
If you’re anything like me, you’re just as excited as you are scared to meet and greet Feaster Bunny in his gruesome environment, the Kill Vault.

Food & Beverage Offerings

Chef Ryan Casarez is the mastermind behind many of the dishes at Universal Horror Unleashed, including the Feaster Grievings menu.
He explains his mindset as: “How can we take something that people are familiar with, and not only elevate it, but also give someone a horrific dining experience?’ Because that’s what you’re coming here for.”
Fear is hungry work. That’s why Chef Ryan and his team are ready to feed you themed dishes all throughout the Feaster Grievings season with all of the (edible) blood your dark little heart desires. As Chef Ryan puts it, “Whenever I make menus, I say, ‘How can I incorporate blood into this?’”

The Feaster-tini features vodka, coffee liqueur, Spanish liqueur, vanilla syrup, and espresso, adorned with a torched bunny marshmallow on top. This perfectly balanced cocktail is sure to get you in a festive spirit.
Bloody Bunny Mocktail
Looking for a non-alcoholic option? Treat yourself to the cola vanilla ice cream float. It’s sweet, fizzy, and topped with a scoop of nostalgia. You’ll find it waiting for you at all bars.
Rough Cuts
Bloody Egg Cake Pop
What’s better than cake? Cake on a stick with (edible) blood on it, of course! The Bloody Egg Cake Pop features birthday cake, royal icing, and sprinkles for a scarily delicious sweet tooth experience.
Pickled Eggs
There’s nothing more horrifying than gas station eggs. Chef Ryan knew that! That’s why these nostalgic pickled eggs are served in a jar, gas station style.
Premiere House

Rotten Eggs
These truffled deviled eggs are beet-dyed and truffled, making for a grisly looking but yummy-tasting appetizer.
Lucky Duck
Feeling lucky? If you’re not, go ahead and consume your own dose of luck with the Lucky Duck: a confit duck breast, served with root vegetables, crispy potatoes, and topped with a beet reduction.
The Lucky Duck is Chef Ryan’s favorite dish from the menu. As he puts it, “It brings more of an elevated experience to what people are going to perceive of our food and beverage program.”
Humpty’s Cracked Egg
This chocolate egg is glazed with strawberry sauce and set atop a bed of green cotton candy.
“When we take it to the guests, we’re going to actually crack it open,” Chef Ryan says. “When the shell opens, it’s going to reveal the main dessert.” Inside of the egg, you’ll find a surprise of ube gelato and confetti sprinkles.
