Each Universal “season” – Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Mardi Gras, Holidays at Universal – has super fans who wait all year long for their special time. As for Yours Truly, I wait all year long for Love Is Universal season. Give me rainbows. Give me sparkles. Give me celebration and joy and love. Give me ball caps and sling bags and dance parties with neon signs and hotel stays and special treats to eat and drink.
Everyone is welcome to celebrate connections to the LGBTQIA+ community with this year’s Love Is Universal offerings. And I got all the details to share with you below! Read on to explore all the ways you can celebrate Pride Month 2026 at Universal Orlando Resort.
OOTD: Love Is Universal Merchandise
Wearing your pride and support for Love Is Universal feels so good — especially now. Shop for your OOTD (outfit of the day!) at the Universal Studios Store in Universal Studios Florida as well as Universal CityWalk, and Islands of Adventure Trading Company at Universal Islands of Adventure, with signage stating: Through August, 100% of profits from the Love Is Universal merchandise will be donated to non-profit organizations that support our local communities, including the LGBTQIA+ community.
I’m unapologetically grabbing the matching set of a rainbow-on-white ball cap, a rainbow-on-white spirit jersey, and a rainbow-on-clear crossbody bag. Other items available include:
- A denim jacket with rainbow trim and the Love is Universal logo on the back
- A Love is Universal keychain featuring a rainbow heart
- A rainbow folding fan to stay cool on sunny June days
- Household goods, including a Love Is Universal tumbler
Love Is Universal Nights at Red Coconut Club in Universal City Walk
This June, come to Universal CityWalk for the ever-better Love Is Universal nights at Red Coconut Club. This seasonal celebration happens on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission is free and guests must be aged 21 or older. Ever-better means more celebration and décor than last year!
Ever-better also means that Love Is Universal nights will happen on top of Re(d)tro Nights: a retro Pride party! From May 8 to July 18, you can enjoy an ‘80s and ‘90s inspired overlay with arcade games, photo opportunities, and a DJ spinning throwback hits.
“It’s my favorite playlist to make every year,” says show director Lauren Culver of Love Is Universal Nights at Red Coconut Club in Universal CityWalk. “People love it. We love it. I walk in the club on Love Is Universal nights and feel the comradery and hope and love.”
Channah Gencarelli, a producer with CityWalk Entertainment, loves how excited guests are to have a safe place to come celebrate who they are. “It’s such a cool thing,” she says. “Everyone is welcome [and] I hope everyone will come and witness and celebrate that Love Is Universal.”
Outside is a Vibe
This June, the Love Is Universal joy inside Red Coconut Club extends throughout CityWalk. The Plaza Stage and Water Fountain will be lit up for the occasion, as well as the area outside of the Universal Cinemark.
“Outside is just as much a party as inside,” says Channah. While guests must be 21 or older to enter Red Coconut Club for Love Is Universal Nights, Channah has wonderful memories from last year of the younger generation celebrating outside the club. “You feel the love,” she says. Guests outside hear the same music, can dance and pose for photos with stilt walkers, and be amazed at bubbles filled with fog.
Outside is also where everyone and anyone can take selfies in front of the glorious window displays at the Universal Studios Store at City Walk, which is next door to Voodoo Doughnut. Here, you’ll find the Pride Doughnut with a raised ring, blue vanilla icing, flaky fruit cereal rim, velvet top clouds, and a strip gummy. PRO TIP: Stand in front of the Love Is Universal window display and hold your Pride Doughnut straight in front of you toward the camera lens so it looks hhhhuuuuggge! (And don’t forget to tag us in your pics!)
Hard Rock Hotel: Overnight Pride
You know you want to spend the night at Hard Rock Hotel. It’s steps from CityWalk, and in June, their music amenity WAX program will feature iconic LGBTQIA+ artists’ vinyl albums throughout the month of June. An optional add-on for hotel guests, WAX offers an in-room record player and a curated collection of records chosen by Hard Rock’s team of music experts!
You’ll also hear playlists around the hotel featuring LGBTQIA+ artists in heavy rotation. Hard Rock Pride merchandise will be available in the Rock Shop in the hotel lobby. And as always at Hard Rock Hotel, you’ll receive free Universal Express Unlimited to enjoy shorter wait times at participating rides and attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure with valid theme park admission.
