Where to Find the Best Treats at Universal Studios Hollywood

February 28, 2025
Two guests enjoy soft serve ice cream from Studio Scoop at Universal Studios Hollywood.

If you’re anything like me, you need to know exactly when and where your next sweet treat is gonna be. And that’s especially true for a day at Universal Studios Hollywood. The theme park has no shortage of mouth-watering confections, from floats to cakes to doughnuts, many of which are inspired by your favorite movies and TV shows. With so many options, you’re going to want to make a plan of attack to taste all the very best treats at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Here are my very favorite treats available at the theme park — and, most importantly, exactly where you can find them.

UPPER LOT

Chocolate Glazed Donut at Lard Lad Donuts

Two guests pose with donuts from Lard Lad Donuts at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Most Springfield, U.S.A. aficionados are well-acquainted with The Big Pink, a fan-favorite, rose-colored donut adorned with rainbow sprinkles. But it’s Lard Lad Donuts chocolate confection that makes our list. This massive cocoa-lover’s dream is exactly what you want in a chocolate-on-chocolate confection: unapologetic indulgence. Kick it up a notch with a quick stop at Phineas Q. Butterfat’s Ice Cream for vanilla soft serve — you’ll thank me later.

Nutella Banana Pudding at Minion Cafe

Minion Pudding available at Minion Cafe at Universal Studios Hollywood.

This despicably delicious dessert is as fun as it is tasty. Served in a teacup topped with a fondant Minion goggle, the familiar flavors of banana pudding and Nutella are combined for one tasty treat. Light and crispy vanilla wafers are layered in for the perfectly pleasant bite we are all waiting for. This Minion Cafe dessert has nostalgia written all over it and I’m absolutely here for it!

Chamoy Pineapple Spears at Cocina Mexicana

Two guests split Chamoy pineapple spears at Universal Studios Hollywood.

This Cocina Mexicana treat is no ordinary fruit cup. If you’ve ever stopped at an LA fruit stand, you know why. Juicy, fresh-cut pineapple is drizzled with tangy chamoy for a semi-sweet, semi-spicy, all scrumptious bite. Chamoy is a flavorful sauce made from dried fruits and chilies, and this version packs all the punch you’d expect from an iconic Angelino snack. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it!

Sticky Toffee Pudding at the Three Broomsticks

Sticky Toffee Pudding topped with vanilla ice cream at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

No trip to Universal Studios Hollywood is complete without a visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and in my humble opinion, the main attraction is edible. The Three Broomsticks not only serves hearty fare, but also whips up a winner with their take on a British classic that showcases the flavors of toffee and butterscotch. Piping hot sponge cake is oozing with a sticky, sweet sauce and served a la mode for a spellbinding combination.

Butterbeer Soft-Serve Ice Cream at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Counter

Guests enjoy soft-serve ice cream at Florean Fortescue's at Universal Studios Hollywood.

In my opinion, Butterbeer is a must-have during any visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The popular magical beverage comes in many iterations, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t shout out Butterbeer soft-serve. The sweet treat has a ribbon of Butterbeer swirled into vanilla ice cream, giving a distinct taste reminiscent of shortbread and butterscotch. The dessert is available only at the Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Counter inside of Honeydukes.

LOWER LOT

Strawberry Serendipity at Studio Scoop

Strawberry Serendipity sundae from Studio Scoop at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Fun and flavorful, this whimsical Studio Scoop sundae will appeal to the young and young at heart. Creamy vanilla ice cream is topped with fruity cereal, a rainbow lollipop, fluffy cotton candy, whipped cream and strawberry jam for a playful and refreshing treat. Make sure to grab two spoons, although you may not want to share!

Dino Dig Chocolate Cake at Jurassic Cafe

Dino Dig Chocolate Cake from Jurassic Cafe at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Nothing hits quite like a big ol’ slice of chocolate cake. To satisfy that oh-so-primal craving, head to Jurassic Cafe and sink your claws into the Dino Dig Chocolate Cake. This layered chocolate cake is topped with crumbled chocolate cookie, with another cookie stamped with a dino footprint. Slicing into this dessert will have you feeling like you’re excavating the Earth’s crust. What, you’ve never had a sweet treat with an archeological twist?

? Block Tiramisu at Toadstool Cafe

? Block Tiramisu at Toadstool Cafe in Super Nintendo World.

It’s almost too cute to eat…almost. This fun-filled dessert, found only at Toadstool Cafe in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, is sure to win you over with its charm and flavor. Crunchy cookies encapsulate a delicate tiramisu that’s both creamy and light. Mild coffee flavors keep this dish alcohol-free while the chocolate notes give it a universal appeal. Be sure to power up with this treat during your visit to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD!

BONUS: Cookies & Cream Milkshake at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen

Cookies and Cream Milkshake at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium at Universal CityWalk Hollywood.

If you’ve left the theme park yet you’re still craving something sweet, head straight to Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen on CityWalk. The towering milkshakes are some of the most delicious (and not to mention photogenic) treats in and around Universal Studios Hollywood. I love the Cookies and Cream Milkshake, but check out their full offerings right here. Each milkshake comes with a truly gigantic garnish, like the cookie in the above photo, which is essentially a bonus treat unto itself!
