Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket: Engineering was my favorite. Because i have always thought it is satisfying to see how big roller coasters are made and used. I learned that to be able to learn about rollercoasters, that you must get into engineering, I also learned that they also used science to be able to find that layout of the design of the roller coaster. When the ride goes down the energy goes from potential to kinetic energy. It is mostly using newtons 3rd law of motion
Harry Potter area would be awesome to learn about!
I love the rides at universal Orlando, but as a Horticulturist, I find the landscape of the attractions very interesting, I manage the former estate of the Guinness brothers in Dublin Ireland , 240 acres with thousands of plant species from around the world. Nature’s attraction and adrenaline rides blend well.
I love the science behind universal clips, especially that they highlight the variety of engineering that goes on behind the scenes. The Rip Ride Rockit clip was especially wonderful in that multiple science vocabulary terms were used and illustrated in the description of the ride. I really liked that the Jurassic Park clip showed off some of the species they have in the park too (one of my personal favorite sections of the park to hang out–and it is because of the fantastic environment created. Keep up the great work!). I would like to see more clips that incorporate science standards and vocabulary to use in the classroom. Our students always go to GradVenture and I would love to use some of this material to help spark excitement both for the trip and our classroom learning!
