Confession: I love music. I almost always have something playing in the background. I listen to music when I shower, drive to work, even as I type this blog post.
So it’s natural that the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando is one of my favorite places to stay. But you don’t have to be a huge music fan to appreciate the rock ‘n roll style and musical history that is everywhere you look.
For your next visit, here are five shining stars to check out in this rockin’ hotel:
1. The Pool
The Hard Rock pool is at the center of this perfect getaway. The pool vibes start with either a live band or a DJ, which will set the tone for you as you cool off. You’ll never miss a beat above or below the water with the underwater sound system.
2. Become a Rock Star
What hotel lets you borrow a record player or a Fender guitar? At Hard Rock, you can choose from a selection of 10 vinyls from rock classics to the latest LP or pick from a menu of 20 different Fender guitars to play in your room. You’ll also receive access to a curated playlist that will help set the tone for your stay.
3. Emack & Bolio’s Ice Cream
What’s that delicious smell as you walk down the grand staircase towards the pool… That’s the cereal cone for the most delicious ice cream at Emack and Bolio’s! Stop here to grab a quick bite or sweet treat before heading to the theme parks.
4. Velvet Sessions
Once a month, the hotel lobby turns into its very own intimate concert venue with Velvet Sessions. Listen to performances by some of your favorite 80s and 90s artists. Enjoy a complimentary themed cocktail and some light bites to fuel you right before the show.
5. Kitchen Sink Challenge
If you dare, take on the Kitchen Sink Challenge at The Kitchen Restaurant. The challenge: eat a Kitchen Burger, fries, and the Kitchen Sink dessert within the allotted time to receive the ultimate bragging rights. Be sure to check out the different chef jackets throughout the restaurant each designed by musicians who’ve stayed with us.
These are just a few things to discover when staying at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando. Check out this video to learn more, and share some of your favorites below.
