It’s already so hard to resist the urge to splurge on all the unique food and merchandise you’ll find during your visit to Universal Orlando Resort. Well, I have some good news: it’s about to get even harder thanks to this new themed shopping experience!
We’ve taken the liberty of making some big changes to the Universal Studios Store at Universal CityWalk you know and love. It’s bigger, better, and offers a whole new selection of merch and tasty treats that could once only be found inside the theme parks. Retail therapy will never be the same again — in the best way possible, of course.
Doubling the original size of the CityWalk store, this expansion pumps you up for a playful time in the new SUPER NINTENDO WORLD themed area, which will feature themed merch from SUPER NINTENDO WORLD in Universal Epic Universe. This wing of the store branches off into a swanky Universal Sweets section overflowing with all the sugary delights you could ever imagine.
At the other end of the store, you’ll find merchandise from all three lands of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the newly expanded section. While you’re there, you can also visit the new Butterbeer counter to enjoy a Butterbeer – cold, frozen, or hot, to cap off a visit.
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Themed Area
Celebrate your love for Super Mario and Donkey Kong as you step inside this colorful new section of the Universal Studios Store dedicated to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.
The exterior of the store makes for yet another special photo op as it features cutouts of characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong and more.
What Kind of Merch Can I Get?
You love to see it in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Epic Universe, and you’ll love it even more now that you can get merch at CityWalk. I could go all day talking about what’s up for grabs from this new wing of the store, but I find it so much easier to show you. Here’s an idea of what you can expect to see upon your first visit:
T-shirts, Hats, and Accessories Galore
It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad, or all five; there’s a whole world of themed gear to choose from. Put your hair up with a themed scrunchie, don a character necklace with a matching pair of earrings, and show everyone what having style is really all about!
Pillows, Blankets, and Novelty Drinkware? Count Me In!
Cozy up with a Super Star pillow and a Super Mario or Donkey Kong themed blanket to match while sipping from a mug with your favorite characters on it. FYI: You don’t have to drink a banana-flavored beverage from this mug, but you’ll be 10x cooler if you do!
Countless Collectibles
Keychains, magnets, and lanyards are among the best themed knickknacks to keep at your side, and luckily for you, this new part of the SUPER NINTENDO WORLD store is full of them. Couple those with novelty metal signs and adorable stuffed plushies, and you’ve got yourself a stellar selection of keepsakes.
Universal Sweets
Just in case you couldn’t get enough of Universal, this new expansion brings quite the sweet treat for you. Between the two new, expanded rooms comes the Universal Sweets area, a hot spot to get the tastiest Universal-branded sweets you can find. From gummies and jellybeans to rock candy and chocolates, this section has a little bit of everything to make your visit that much sweeter!
Butterbeer Counter
The wait is over. Those Butterbeer-less nights are long behind us now thanks to the new Butterbeer counter at the Universal Studios Store. I’d say it’s exactly how it sounds, but this new sensation is honestly so much more than that. For the first time at Universal Orlando Resort, you can enjoy a freshly poured Butterbeer — cold, frozen, or vegan — outside of the park. You mean now when I get that sweet craving all I need to do is visit CityWalk? You bet!
Surrounded by themed décor and the sound of freshly poured Butterbeer, guests can enjoy this iconic drink in this newly expanded area. There’s also a variety of new Butterbeer and Honeydukes-themed merchandise to explore.
Looking for the best way to rep your Hogwarts house? The Wizarding World of Harry Potter section offers a wide variety of themed items including robes, hats, and scarves.
Once you’ve satisfied your Butterbeer cravings, indulge your desire for merch to match. In addition to offering a selection of Butterbeer treats, the Butterbeer counter is filled with themed merchandise that you won’t want to miss.
T-shirts, flannels, crossbody bags, and totes are just a few of the items available. Be sure to check out the one-of-a-kind Butterbeer stein — available in gold-colored or glass — perfect for enjoying this iconic drink.
