Can you survive the curse of the evil Pumpkin Lord at Cabana Bay Beach Resort? Venture to the Swizzle Lounge and enter a realm riddled with petrified pumpkins that have an unquenchable thirst for total domination! The curse of Carver’s Pumpkin Patch has taken over the Cabana Bay hotel lobby, and it isn’t looking pretty. Brave the oozing pumpkins whose creeping vines long to get a grasp on unwary victims such as yourself. Watch the Pumpkin Lord rain an evil pumpkin-filled parade on unlucky guests through Cabana Bay’s interactive Instagram filter.

Universal Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites

The Sunset Lounge at Dockside Inn and Suites is anything but sunny during spooky season as it is corrupted by a brooding presence. Sinister sea dwellers have emerged from the darkest depths of the ocean, and their presence poses a terrifying warning I wouldn’t dare ignore. Formed by the warm, polluted coastal waters, these grotesque driftwood monsters are seething with vengeance, and guests must face their wrath! Look out! One of these gruesome creatures is trying to attack from above, and it’s looking extra fierce behind the augmented reality filter.

Universal Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites

Ahoy! There be a storm ahead at Surfside Inn and Suites! Amid the crashing waves lurks something more terrifying than even the harshest of waters: monstrous ocean creatures. The ocean is alive, and it’s far from happy. Try your hand at escaping the clutches of these terrifying tentacles and steer the ship to safety. There’s a trusty harpoon that might come in handy! Try and avoid the crashing waves and dangling giant tentacles as you make your way across the sea through this experience’s thrilling Instagram filter.

Universal Aventura Hotel

Something not of this Earth has overtaken the Aventura Hotel lobby, and it’s preying on unsuspecting guests. These alien overlords have made a fortress of the lobby bar, and they’ve claimed its rooftop as their personal watch tower. Now laden with high-tech extraterrestrial equipment, the bar is in perfect shape for the aliens to whip up intergalactic cocktails that capture and control the minds of the drinker. Stay — if you dare — and submit to the will of the alien overlords at Universal Aventura Hotel! You better hold on tight to something; the aliens in this interactive filter are sparing absolutely no one with their ruthless abduction rays.

Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Get ready for a real freak show this Halloween at Loews Portofino Bay. These masked maniacs are hiding more than just their faces — they’ve got a raging bloodlust to boot! Carneval Meraviglia, the Italian circus, brings bloodthirsty performers to the stage on a quest for new victims, and you could be next. As you rise above the mist, be careful not to get caught behind the theatrical doors that await you at Carneval Meraviglia with its fear-filled Instagram filter. Don’t be shy; tune in and try to make it out alive. I hope you aren’t afraid of clowns!

Hard Rock Hotel

Rock out and shock out with a thrilling performance that is to die for — literally. This band was moments away from their killer performance at Hard Rock Hotel before they became one with the undead! Hear cheers turn into fears as terror fills the Hard Rock Hotel lobby. A ferocious zombie invasion ensues, and only the mighty can survive with fierce instrumental weapons by their side! Embrace your newfound zombie side as you rock both the look and the music through Hard Rock Hotel’s augmented reality filter.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort

The Jungle of Doom, better known as Loews Royal Pacific Resort, is overflowing with fearsome flora itching to take out unsuspecting guests like you. Hidden in the shadows you’ll find violent vines and snap-happy flowers waiting to trap guests and passersby alike. Don’t get too close to these flowers’ heads, unless you want to end up being their dinner. Watch unsuspecting victims dodge these life-size venus human traps left and right through the augmented reality Instagram filter. Vegans and vegetarians beware — you’re probably first on their list!

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

Envision an eerie world overflowing with secrets that flash back to a spooky past. At the seaside Gothic Manor, you’ll be surrounded by rustic aged wood, ancient books filled with timeless tales, floral sculptures with a freaky flair and flickering candelabras that nod to the unknown. You better watch your back — a suspicious shadow lurks behind the window, watching, waiting, and undoubtedly itching to send chills up your spine. Look alive as angered ravens swoop down from above in the interactive Instagram filter. A world of horrors awaits at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort this Halloween!

Sip on a Spooky Spirit

Let’s get into my favorite way to light up any night — especially the ones of the horror variety — with specially themed cocktails. Served exclusively at select hotel bars, those ages 21 and older can let the spirits in these craft cocktails take them over all Halloween season long.

Radioactive Slime, a Halloween themed cocktail served at the Universal Orlando Resort hotels.

The Radioactive Slime cocktail sports a chemically green-blue color and is made with vodka, fresh pineapple and lemon juices, mango puree, blue curaçao and bubbly Sprite.

Witches Brew, a Halloween themed cocktail served at the Universal Orlando Resort hotels.

The witches of the night have brewed up something nice this spooky season, which is probably why they named it the Witches Brew! This drink is made with rum, blackberry syrup, lime and pineapple juices, blue curaçao and orange bitters.

Lil' Boo-zy, a Halloween themed cocktail served at the Universal Orlando Resort hotels.

If you just need a little something to get the party going, a sip of Lil’ Boo-zy will do just the trick. In it, you’ll taste whiskey, sweet pumpkin puree and simple syrup.
