It’s been 50 years since cinema inspired humanity to take the might of the great white shark seriously. In layman’s terms, June 20, 2025, marks the 50th anniversary of the original blockbuster, “Jaws,” and Universal parks are going all-out to celebrate. Calling all film fanatics and shark-lovers (or -fearers) alike to flood our theme parks this summer!
On the west coast, “Jaws” is just one part of Universal Mega Movie Summer at Universal Studios Hollywood, an epic celebration of iconic films from June 13 to August 10. The event will feature limited-time themed entertainment, merch, food and beverages offerings, meet and greets, and more, all themed to several beloved flicks. At Universal Orlando Resort, we’re kicking off our summer slate by rolling out themed souvenirs and snacks for the “Jaws” 50th from May 23 through July 6.
No matter which coast you’re on, it’s high time you get into our expansive collection of celebratory merchandise and tasty treats. And don’t forget to snap a few memorable pics in front of our exciting “Jaws” photo ops in all your new gear!
New “Jaws” 50th Anniversary Merchandise at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood
This summer, the shelves at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will be stocked with an all-new, one-of-a-kind merchandise collection themed to the 50th anniversary of “Jaws.” And trust me when I say you’ve got to get your hands on them.
If you’re the kind of theme park-goer who needs to be drinking something at all times, then you’ll definitely need the theme-park-exclusive Jaws 50th Anniversary Sipper. It’s a cute, little, and totally not scary shark dangling from a scuba-tank-turned bottle with its monstrous jaws and a spear-headed rope for a carrying strap. You can get one of your own in-park early June!
Who doesn’t love a good ceramic mug? Especially the kind with different designs on both sides? The Jaws 50th Anniversary Mug is the perfect addition to your kitchen cabinets with the timeless Amity Island graphics on one side and a strong warning on the other!
You’ve heard the phrase “sink or swim,” but when it’s time to plan your “Jaws” anniversary outfit, it’s more like “drip or drown.” And considering we literally advise you to not go in the water, the last thing you’ll want to do is drown. That’s why you need the drippiest headwear Universal has to offer: the Jaws 50th Anniversary Bucket Hat. This reversible bucket hat, exclusive to the theme parks, sports a cream canvas with the “Jaws” logo printed on it on one side while the other is a soft light blue with iconic imagery from the film all over. It pairs perfectly with our new yellow Jaws 50th Anniversary V-neck, which brings a vintage look to a vibrant shirt with the original “Jaws” shark icon printed on the front.
If bucket hats aren’t your thing, you can’t go wrong with the Jaws 50th Anniversary Hat. Rocking a dark blue hue, this theme-park-exclusive cap has the “Jaws” logo printed in white on its front with a nautical red and white rope stretched across the brim. Pair it with the Jaws 50th Anniversary Amity Island Tank Top, and you’ll really be stunting on all the other theme park guests.
Picnics just got a whole lot cooler (pun entirely intended) thanks to the Jaws 50th Anniversary Cooler Bag. This theme-park-exclusive insulated bag sports the classic “Jaws” logo with an adjustable strap to make for easy, convenient transportation.
More wearables are coming your way, and this one is extra stylish. Take collecting ships in a bottle to a whole new level with the Jaws 50th Anniversary Crossbody Bag. Showing off its funky glass bottle shape, this theme-park-exclusive bag depicts a sailing ship nearing an attack from a ferocious great white shark. For a bag strap, you’ll sport a sturdy, red and white nautical rope while your belongings are safely stowed away beneath a zipper enclosure.
All that’s missing from this crossbody bag is a cute wallet to go inside it. Just kidding! We’ve got one right here, and it needs to be yours. The Jaws 50th Anniversary Wallet features a red wristlet and zipper while its canvas depicts a vintage pattern of all your favorite scenes from the film.
Speaking of bottles, if you’ve been searching for an easier way to carry yours around the theme parks, then look no further. The Jaws 50th Anniversary Bottle Holder keeps your hands free and your bottle secure — and looks cool while doing so with its nifty patterned lanyard and sleeve.
You’ll really see just how scary great white sharks aren’t when you have one of your own! The Jaws 50th Anniversary Shark Plush Toy is the perfect stuffed companion to have by your side as you celebrate one of the most momentous occasions the summer has to offer.
I know the suspense is killing you. You want to know where you can get your hands on all these spectacular anniversary items. All right, I’ll bite. Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood are overflowing with a variety of shops to pick up commemorative merch of your own.

New “Jaws” 50th Anniversary Food & Drinks
Who’s ready to put those jaws to work toward some tasty food and drinks? I know I am! And you will be too once you see what’s on the menu. Both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood are bringing a flurry of flavors that are yours for the tasting this summer.
Universal Orlando Resort
Head to San Francisco in Universal Studios Florida to get your fill of Bucket of Bait, Lobster Tailyaki, Nathan’s Hot Dog, and a sweet, sugary Funnel Cake. If you’re coming to the theme park with a shark-sized appetite, the crispy clams, shrimp, and oysters over a bed of fries with a side of lemon and sriracha ketchup that come with the Bucket of Bait is exactly what you’ll need.
When I’m in the mood for something bubbly, I head straight toward the Frenzy Fizz. It’s made with rum, raspberry puree, stone fruit syrup, and Coca-Cola® orange cream, and you can also get it as a mocktail.
Sip on something cool and refreshing with a classic Amity Island Iced Tea, which is made with vodka, rum, tequila, apricot brandy, lemon and cranberry juices, sweet simple syrup, and Sprite. You can get it as a fruity mocktail as well if you want to save yourself the buzz without missing out on the celebratory fun.
Contrary to its namesake, this next drink is anything but something to fear. The Ocean Attack is a beachy beverage that sports coconut rum, blue curaçao pineapple juice, Sprite, and just a dash of grenadine. It’s garnished with a maraschino cherry and chewy blue shark gummy to truly set the scene.
The Ocean Attack is best served in a souvenir vessel, and you can order one for yourself at Chez Alcatraz and our pop-up bar. You can also nab a limited-edition Jaws Freestyle cup across the resort; fill it with our limited-time flavor, Big Bite Blast!
Universal Studios Hollywood
Don’t go hungry during Universal Mega Movie Summer — especially not when there are so many delectable “Jaws”-themed dishes on the menu to try. If you’re looking for a full feast, you’ll find that and more with dishes like the Lobster Roll, Vegan Crab Cake Sandwich, Fish and Chips, Fish and Chicken Basket, and Shark Bait Burger, all served with a side of seasoned pub fries. Get them while they’re hot at Amity Island Cafe, located at Hollywood & Dine.
Did somebody say it’s time for a tasty little treat (or three) and fruity drinks? Maybe not, but that’s not stopping me from raving about them. Celebrate Universal Mega Movie Summer in Hollywood with the Amity Beach Lifesaver Donut, Shark Fin Funnel Cake, or Amity Island Parfait. Quench your thirst with an Amity Island Open Water Mocktail made with raspberry lemonade and Sprite, or loosen up with a Shark Bite Cocktail made with coconut water, Sprite, guava, and rum.
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of ‘Jaws’ with Thrilling Photo Ops & Immersive Theming
Want to know why you shouldn’t be afraid of sharks? Because they make the perfect photo-bombers! For the 50th Anniversary of “Jaws,” you can’t go without striking a pose next to (or hanging from, as pictured above) the legendary shark.
From May 23 to July 6 in Orlando, head to San Francisco in Universal Studios Florida for a flash back to the past with Amity Island. Watch the whole square come to life as you’re greeted by the famed Amity banner and surrounded by a variety of iconic “Jaws” props that are undoubtedly picture-worthy.
In addition to serving up tasty treats, San Francisco Candy Factory is decked with one-of-a-kind photo ops that transport you right into the film itself. Packed to the brim with even more props, assistant manager of visual merchandise Stephen Burkett describes this interior of this space as a “love letter to the movie.”
“(We’re) kind of tapping into that nostalgia for the guests that not only grew up watching the movie but because of the movie grew up coming here, or even for those that maybe never got a chance to come out here and ride (Jaws, a former attraction),” Stephen says. “You know, give them something to kind of make them really feel like they were a part of it in some way.”
For our theme park goers in at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Mega Movie Summer has no shortage of unique photo ops just calling your name. During your ride on The World-Famous Studio Tour, you’ll spot a replica of the Hollywood Sign decked out in celebration of “Jaws.” And be prepared for one too-close-for-comfort encounter when you drive through Amity Island, which’ll be specially decorated for the Fourth of July all summer long. Outside the WaterWorld venue, you’ll get to post up not only with the great white shark which hangs there year-long, but also with grizzled shark-hunter Quint and Amity police chief Brody. Everybody say “Orca!”
