Football season makes its comeback Wednesday, September 9, and we’re kicking it off with an assortment of football-themed food and drinks at NBC Sports Grill & Brew. Because I care so deeply for my readers, I already took the liberty of trying each new, limited-time menu item. Trust me when I say the combination of flavors is a touchdown, and they’re yours to enjoy all season long!
To get fans in the football spirit, NBC Sports Grill & Brew is bringing a slew of exciting entertainment options to the venue during the kickoff. From 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on September 9, you can jam out to a live DJ, interact with referee-themed stilt walkers, and pre-game with the Prize Guys as the game premieres on the big screen.
What’s on the NFL Season Menu at NBC Sports Grill & Brew
There are four quarters in a football game and four tastes to delight in during football season at NBC Sports Grill & Brew. Each item was specially crafted by NBC Sports Grill & Brew Chef Robert Hainer with game day in mind, and you’re sure to feel the hype in every bite (and sip)!
“Crunch” Corn Fritters
When I think of appetizers I’d find at a sports bar, corn fritters immediately come to mind. Luckily, NBC Sports Grill & Brew never disappoints as the chefs came through with a crispy batch of “Crunch” Corn Fritters served with arugula-radish slaw and creole remoulade.
Mac and Cheeseburger
Perhaps I’m just a product of my environment, but I’d argue the Mac and Cheeseburger at NBC Sports Grill & Brew is the greatest dish to ever grace Universal Orlando Resort. Two of my favorite dishes in one? My personal heaven. Savor a hearty mac and cheese croquette, melty cheese, barbecue sauce, and pickles stuffed between two fluffy brioche buns.
“End Zone” Bowl
As this dish’s name suggests, you know you’ve made it when you’ve had a bite from the “End Zone” Bowl. Prepare for your taste buds to be wowed in ways foreign to your palate when you try cilantro rice, chicken tinga, and black bean corn salsa topped with chipotle aioli, jalapeño queso, Jack cheese, and pico de gallo and served with a side of french fries.
Berry Fizz
Dirty sodas are so back, and nothing’s doing it quite like the Berry Fizz at NBC Sports Grill & Brew. One sip of this bubbling beverage will have you tasting a flurry of muddled strawberries, strawberry crisps, vanilla cream, lemon-lime soda, and sweet cold foam.
