Any local food-lover knows that Orlando is kind of a dream when it comes to tasty treats and delectable dishes. (The tacos in this city alone are enough to make any foodie swoon, right?) One thing you may not have considered however, is how many great food options are available right here at Universal Orlando Resort.
As the French say, bone apple tea!
First Stop: Loews Portofino Bay Hotel
Spaghetti con Polpette (Spaghetti and Meatballs)
Sometimes you just need a classic spaghetti and meatballs with a fancy twist.
Bistecca Con Pecorino al Turtufo (Steak with peppercorns and truffles)
Two words: Truffle. Steak.
Chicken Carbonara
You know what they say, this dish goes together like peas and pasta. (I’ll see myself out….)
Antipasto all’Italiana con Solumi, Formaggi assoriti servito con olive (selection of cured meats with assorted cheeses and olives)
Believe me when I say I’d marry this prosciutto if I could.
Gnocchi Verdi al Gorgonzola dolce, Noci e pesto di rucola (Green Gnocchi with pesto with sweet Gorgonzola and walnuts)
The Gnocchi to end all gnocchis? Very well could be.
Spaghetti alla Chitarra con salsa allo scoglio (Spaghetti with P.E.I. Mussels, Clams, Scallops and shrimp in a white wine and cherry tomato sauce)
THE freshest seafood on a bed of perfectly cooked spaghetti in a light but flavorful sauce. Are you drooling yet?
Second Stop: Hard Rock Hotel Orlando
The Kitchen Sink Challenge
As if this gigantic burger— complete with onion ring and a fried pickle —wasn’t enough, you’re also challenged with finishing the biggest piece of cake I’ve ever seen. Godspeed.
The Palm:
House Specialty Lobster
This is our lobster. He’s perfect when dipped in butter with a squeeze of lemon. Just don’t name him.
Filet Mignon
You ever take a bite of something and just pause because you’re so lucky in that moment? That’s every bite of this Filet Mignon.
Third Stop: Loews Royal Pacific Resort
Tropical roll, Cilantro roll, Dynamite roll, and Nigiri/Sashimi
Sushi is my favorite food group and Orchid Court does not disappoint.
Fourth Stop: Loews Sapphire Falls Resort
Jerk Chicken Pot Pie
All the comfort of a normal chicken pot pie with a flavor-filled Caribbean flare.
Amatista Cuban Burger
I always knew cuban sandwiches and burgers could and should live harmoniously together.
Pan Fried Caribbean Snapper
Obviously the Snapper is incredible but DO NOT sleep on the quinoa and mojito mint nage!
Fifth Stop: Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort
Braised Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Your childhood grilled cheese got a tasty upgrade and it’s so so good.
Chicken Pesto Pasta
This dish even comes with bonus bread.
Brazilian Beef Churrasco
That chimichurri sauce though….
Welp, that’s all we’ve got for now! Hopefully, you didn’t read this blog on an empty stomach. If you did, we look forward to seeing you at a Universal Orlando hotel soon!

There are some notable dishes that were missed here, but at the very least Strongwater’s ropa vieja and empanadas absolutely deserve mention. They are both amazing!
Not one non meat option? :/
This was listed and looks – Green Gnocchi with pesto with sweet Gorgonzola and walnuts
Which restaurant has the most creative vegetarian or vegan offerings?
The Bayliner Diner at Cabana Bay had delicious vegan offerings.
Vegetable Flatbread, Baked Vegetarian Pasta, Vegan Stir Fry, Three Grain Vegetable Burger, Seasonal Vegetables and fresh fruit.
It would be nice if you would have more vegetarian/vegan options available at your resort. Other Orlando resorts have done a great job on this and this is why my family personally will spend our vacations there!
