Guide to Jurassic World and Jurassic Park Souvenirs at Universal Orlando Resort

Jurassic World Souvenirs at Universal Orlando Resort

Deep in the far reaches of Universal Islands of Adventure, you’ll come upon a land covered in lush vegetation and inhabited with dinosaurs of both ferocious and gentle demeanors. Welcome to Jurassic Park.

This area is themed to both the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films, complete with rides, restaurants, entertainment… and did I mention dinosaurs? It’s like you’re walking right into the parks from the movies, and like any good theme park, there are awesome souvenirs to take home.

I’ve put together the following shopping guide to help you hunt down that perfect Jurassic gift for yourself, friends, or family, along with where to find them and a few shopping tips sprinkled in.

JURASSIC WORLD COLLECTIONS

VelociCoaster

There’s a new attraction in Jurassic World and when there’s a new theme park ride, there’s new merch. VelociCoaster is bringing more teeth to the park along with Raptor-themed T-shirts, face coverings, pins, drinkware, and more. Race alongside the Velociraptors on the new roller coaster and then show you conquered it with a souvenir shirt. (If that doesn’t scream I’m back from vacation, I don’t know what does.)

Find out more about the new species of roller coaster with this complete guide to the Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

Into The Wild

Maybe it’s the color palette or the fact there’s a “Keep Your Distance” string backpack that resonates so well right now, but this design is my favorite of the new Jurassic merchandise collections. There are a variety of tops with eye-catching designs that support dinosaur conservation with the slogan “They Were Here First.”

Camp Cretaceous

Show you survived, er, I mean, attended the exclusive Camp Cretaceous with these park souvenirs. There are some great finds like the wooden wall decor, keychains, pins, tees, and sippers. These items showcase the camp logo with the number one camp rule “Don’t Get Eaten” and sage advice when faced by an Indominus rex, “Runnn!”

Mr. DNA

And bingo! Dino DNA! Mr. DNA is the colorful mascot who teaches us how the Jurassic teams create dinosaurs. This brightly colored merchandise collection sports a fun Mr. DNA logo on unique pieces like a waist bag, cell phone case, notebook, and socks. You’ll definitely be easy to spot, which on second thought, may not be a good idea if you find yourself in the Raptor Paddock…

Tropical

Isla Nublar is located in the tropical region 120 miles off of Costa Rica, so it only makes sense that there’s a merchandise collection that embraces these island vibes. Get this vibrant design on apparel, drinkware, and a good-sized tote to carry all your gear in. That hot pink wine tumbler is definitely a need.

Looking for more of that simple and classic look? There are plenty of options to choose from. You can get the Jurassic World park logo in its iconic blue hues or steel grey on apparel, drinkware, accessories, and home goods. And chase away those post-vacation blues with a Jurassic toy mask.

JURASSIC PARK COLLECTIONS

If you grew up with the first movie in the 1990s like I did, it’s almost impossible to leave this area of the theme park without picking up something with that iconic Jurassic Park logo. You can’t go wrong with the retro tee or sweatshirt. There is also a great hat that is perfect — and subtle — for wearing both during and after your vacation.

Camouflage

A little camo may come in handy when roaming among the dinosaurs. This design comes on face coverings, tumbler drinkware, tank tops and tees, and my personal favorite, a comfy spirit jersey.

WHERE TO BUY IT

Jurassic Outfitters

After you ride Jurassic Park River Adventure you’ll find yourself (probably soaking wet) in this store, which is located right across from Camp Jurassic. This is the largest Jurassic store where you can find a huge selection of merchandise from toys and collectibles to themed apparel and drinkware.

Shopping Tip: One of my tips for this store is to look around at the details. You’ll find behind-the-scenes photos from the movie, the mosquito sealed in amber at the checkout counter, and even some of the shelving units are made to look like the boats you ride in Jurassic Park River Adventure.

Dinostore

It’s all in the name. Dinostore is your go-to shop for all things dinosaurs. You can get all your Jurassic loot here along with toys, apparel, collectibles, and even fossil replicas and beautiful amber jewelry. Located in the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, stop by to peruse the shelves after watching a Raptor hatch or devouring a burger and fries from The Burger Digs.

Universal Studios Stores

The Universal Studios Stores throughout Universal Orlando Resort are your one-stop shop for all your park souvenirs. You can pick up your Jurassic keepsakes here after spending the day in the theme parks, a perfect option for those of you who don’t want to haul around bags (dads, you’re welcome). There is a Universal Studios Store in Universal Studios Florida, Universal CityWalk, and most of the Universal hotels. There is also the Trading Company in Islands of Adventure where you can nab any last minute Jurassic gifts before you leave.

Shopping Tip: If you do buy a few things in the theme parks, you can take advantage of Package Pick-Up and Delivery. This service allows you to have your purchases sent to a pick-up location at the front of the park or back to your hotel. Just ask a Team Member for help when you’re checking out.

Online Merchandise Store

Although comfort hits the top of my packing list when it comes to traveling, I do love a themed outfit to take fun pictures in. If you’re like me, buy your Jurassic merchandise before your vacation on Universal’s online store. There’s a large selection for you to choose from, but remember, there are some items you can only find in the theme parks.
