Eating Your Way Through The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is full of unique snacks, meals and even desserts that will place you right into the story!

There are a lot of delicious food and drinks throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is home to two full-service restaurants (the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade and the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley), sweets and snacks at places like Honeydukes and Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour, and plenty of spots to grab Butterbeer.

With so many yummy options to choose from, you’ll definitely want a couple of days in the wizarding world to try it all. Don’t know where to start? We’ll help you with the first day and then you plan the next one! Below you’ll find some of our favorite food options from around the two lands, starting your day in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida and ending it in Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure.

1. Egg, Leek & Mushroom Pasty at the Leaky Cauldron

After going deep into the Gringotts vaults on Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, a warm biscuit-like pastry filled with scrambled eggs and veggies is a delicious way to satiate your hunger post-adventure and set you up for the rest of your day.

2.  Butterbeer Fudge & Chocolate Fudge from Sugarplum’s Sweetshop

A few morsels of Butterbeer Fudge and Chocolate Fudge are perfect to snack on while you shop for your wand at Ollivanders. Did you know, you can witness a unique interactive experience and see a wand choose a wizard?

3. Ploughman’s Platter at the Leaky Cauldron

Is it lunch, or perhaps brunch? Either way, Ploughman’s Platter serves up a fresh array of cheeses, bread, veggies and even scotch eggs (hard-boiled eggs covered in crispy sausage—yes, these exist!).

4. Earl Grey & Lavender Ice Cream from Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour

Afternoon tea, ice cream style. This is the last stop before you exit Diagon Alley, so why not leave on a sweet note?

5. Jacket Potato from London Taxi Cart

London is home of the Jacket Potato. Choose from Loaded, Broccoli and Cheddar, Bean and Cheese, or Shepherd’s Pie topping. It’s the perfect pre-train snack.

The best way to make your way to Hogsmeade is by taking the Hogwarts Express from Platform 9 3/4. Since you will be heading to another park, you’ll want to make sure you have a two-park ticket handy, which will be scanned before making your way to the platform.

6. Chocolate Frog from Honeydukes

Welcome to Hogsmeade! Grab a sweet treat to hold you over until dinner. After riding the Hogwarts Express, you just might be craving a Chocolate Frog! You’ll even get a bonus treat with a collectible wizard card celebrating a famous witch or wizard.

7. Great Feast Platter from the Three Broomsticks

Gather around the table with your traveling companions. The Great Feast is piled high with both chicken and ribs, separated only by morsels of roasted potatoes and vegetables. Don’t forget it comes with salad, too!

8. Fresh Baked Apple Pie from the Three Broomsticks

Warm spiced apples under a sweet drizzled crumble. Big enough to share… or keep to yourself and be very happy.
