You can now experience the newest addition to the Universal theme park family, Universal Volcano Bay.

Starting today, you can enjoy an immersive water theme park full of thrills and relaxation. One-of-a-kind attractions. And a TapuTapu wearable device that will let you fill your day with fun—instead of standing in long lines.

Media and guests lined the sandy shore of Waturi Beach today to witness the opening of our third theme park. A live webcast on our blog and social media channels captured the excitement and anticipation. And performers from as far as New Zealand shared their culture and their hearts with traditional dances and songs that astounded us all.

Universal's Volcano Bay opened on May 25, 2017 with an authentic dedication ceremony.

The Waturi people welcomed guests and Team Members alike to the island paradise. A powerful performance of chanting by a kapa haka celebrated the island and the guests who will enjoy it. With the passing of a peace offering by the Chief of the Waturi and the eruption of the mighty volcano, Krakatau, Volcano Bay officially opened.

Universal's Volcano Bay is now open at Universal Orlando Resort.

For me, personally, this is the culmination of years of dreaming, planning and building alongside an incredible team of people. It’s amazing to see it finally come fully to life—and I can’t wait for you to experience it. It was an emotional morning for me and I couldn’t be more proud to see the front gates officially opened.

There’s lots of to discover about Volcano Bay on the blog, so take a look. And if you haven’t made plans already, I welcome you to come down and enjoy Universal Volcano Bay for yourself soon.

Sorry I was very disappointed , on the gran opening there was no organization. Roller coaster was out of service. Food was cold. Employees were still working in stalling cameras and TVs, Park is over price, not what I expected.

been there, was disappointed with the only one virtual ride on wrist band at a time and the lack of better directions of how to get to the ride you see in the distance. Suggestion would be to paint on sidewalk, green volcano’s on sidewalk for green volcano slide, etc. Not knowing the names of the slides doesn’t help. the wrist bands were neat. The lockers were great, but would be nice if you could “take one” around the park when you move. Pre-renting the cabanas would be nice, they were very nice and a good idea, but were all rented out when we got there. The bartender in the boat, needs to do two things at once, like chat to served customer after he waits on a new customer. Very slow service. The river was very enjoyable, loved the cave. Food was good. Glad there was beer, and that you could bring the Universal refillable cup to Volcano Bay. The drop off in the parking garage needs improved, it was a long walk to the elevator from the drop off point, we parked up stairs so we could surprise our Grandkids with the trip to Volcano Bay. Snad was nice by the cabanas and we noticed they had waiter service. Liked the shoe racks by the rides, but I think they need to be enlarged. Renting towels was a surprise, but I guess people would steal them if you didn’t. You could lend them and add them to the wrist band and have it beep, if they weren’t turned in before you leave. Enjoyed the turtle and whale ride and the wave pool.
