Guide to Fast & Furious — Supercharged at Universal Studios Florida

A group of people walk toward a brown, brick building with white, seemingly painted-on text reading "Fast & Furious Supercharged." The building has several half-circle, tile, window-like features. In front of the building are various gates, and signs indicating the current time and current wait time. Closest to the camera is a woman in a flannel-like patterned top and dark bottoms, holding hands with a man in a gray-and-black shirt that reads "street racing" in a blocky font and "garage service" in a curly font, along with other, harder-to-read text. Closer to the building, a younger woman with glasses, a blue shirt, jeans, and black sneakers, looks back toward a group of three women, all facing aware from the camera. From left to right: a woman in what looks like a purple sweatshirt and jeans, a woman in a teal tank top and black shorts, and a woman in a pink-white-and-turquoise flannel, and dark pants. There is what seems to be the top and front of a car to the woman closest to the camera's left. The floor is concrete, with some being seemingly made of a cobblestone. Right in front of the building is a lighter sidewalk, with a red curb.

Ride or die? That is the question. Fast & Furious – Supercharged is one of my favorite attractions at Universal Studios Florida. And even though I spent a year working at the attraction, I swear I’m not biased.

Fast & Furious — Supercharged is a high-octane journey into the underground racing world. Whether you’re a fan of the franchise, a car enthusiast, or you just like to party, there’s a little bit of something for everyone.

The Story

Picture this: it’s race day and Dom Toretto is getting geared up to win his next round (I don’t know why anybody challenges him…). After all, when he races, he wins, and when he wins, we party! Dom and the crew are known for throwing the best after-parties at Sullivan’s Garage and you just so happen to receive an exclusive invite — and because you’re basically V.I.P., you’re going to be riding there in style.

The Queue

You start out by walking into an unassuming warehouse, but the party starts as soon as you enter Dom’s garage. You’re greeted with several of the crew’s best cars, tools, and of course the music (which is straight out of the “Fast & Furious” film soundtracks). Next, you’ll meet Pat and Jamie, who are part of Tej’s crew. Pat gets us hyped up and Tej calls to let us know that our party buses are ready. But as soon as we run into Jamie, Dom and Hobbs call to tell us that Owen Shaw is hot on our trail and we need to be careful.

The Ride

The party will go on, even with bad guys after us. So, get ready to roll out in custom party buses — courtesy of Tej. With a high-value witness on board, what could really go wrong? Well, I’m glad you asked. As expected, Owen Shaw shows up uninvited to crash the festivities. But lucky for us, the whole family is out to protect us. Letty and Roman will use their Turbo Tow Trucks to really get things moving, and we just might have to jump a bridge that’s under construction. Ride or die, remember? Prepare to race through the streets while dodging Shaw, attack drones, and of course, the never-ending traffic on the San Francisco freeway.

Custom Gear

Once you make it back safely to the loading docks and Tej gives you permission to “act a fool,” it’s time to go. But the party doesn’t have to end there — the Custom Gear shop has everything that you need to take it home with you. There’s Fast & Furious merch, miniature car models, and you can even get your own…well, custom gear! There are shirts, shoes, hats, and more that you can have custom spray-painted.

Family Forever

I love visiting Fast & Furious — Supercharged. From the minute you enter, it’s a non-stop rush of adrenaline, action, and partying. From the queue, to the pre-shows, to the motion of the custom party buses, every detail makes you feel like you walked into the movies. If you are a “Fast & Furious” fan, you’ll understand more of the deep references. But even if you’ve never seen any of the films (which you totally should see!), you’ll leave this attraction feeling like part of the family.
